Two scenes, possibly unrelated:

Scene 1: Jolie is someone with problems. Austin is asking Jack about them — perhaps soliciting his opinion, or checking how he’s handling someone else’s difficulty. Jack is in a mediator or advisor position: someone is coming to him about someone else.

Scene 2: Travel into somewhere that felt good. No further detail — just the sensation of arriving somewhere worth arriving.

Context: March 2022

March 2022 is near the end of Jack’s senior year at Cupertino High School. UC applications were submitted in November-December 2021. He’s waiting on results. The names Jolie and Austin are from this era — the Cupertino social world that Jack later wrote about with complicated nostalgia.

This is one of the few dream records from the Cupertino period, making it historically significant even if brief.
